In the month of January 2010, we welcomed 2 new friends into our N2 class. They are: Yuk Hong and Wei Ying. During the month, we bid farewell to Zhang Lau Shi and we wish her all the best in her future endeavours. And we welcome Rong Lau Shi into our N2 Family with open arms. Rong Lau Shi have 1 year of experience teaching in Singapore and several years of experience teaching in China. She graduated with a degree in pre-school education from China.
Currently, our N2 children are working on the project - All about myself: Staying Healthy!
Before focusing on our Staying Healthy, we spent 2 weeks doing pre-discussion and getting the children interested in our main theme: All about myself.

Children went on a outdoor lesson to explore the neighbourhood with their senses... hmmm, I see delicious cakes, and I can hear Chinese New Year songs playing in the background...
Hey... Something smells really stinky here. It probably came from the dustbin... Let's walk quickly!
27th Jan - Show and Tell: Our Favourite Food
Look at all our favourite food! This makes me hungry just by looking at it! :P
It was one of our happiest day in this month where we had the chance to eat our favourite food during snack time and to try out our friends' favourite food! (:
Here are some of the things the children said during the Show-and-tell session:
" This hello panda biscuit is healthy. It has vitamin D and calcium. "
" I bought this biscuit from far far away, must drive one. "
" Jiejie cook this hot dog in a frying an. Must put a little bit of cream inside..."
" This Kiwi is very tickerish... "
" My Daddy buy this big donut from the market."

We look forward to participating in more healthy cooking activities this month as we discover about the various categories of food found on the food pyramid for kids that will keep us strong and healthy! Yumyum! :P
