Hello Parents!

Happy Labour Day! In the month of April, we celebrated Earth Day in school! It was a day that children learnt to create awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. That started by learning about recycling through making accessories from recycled materials. Let's take a look at some of the items children and parents made at home!

Through the celebration, we played a few games using the recycled materials we have brought from home. One of the game is to build the longest line! One by one children were given a chance to place the objects on the floor to form the longest line...

The next game was to build the tallest tower with our recycled materials! We tried very hard to stack all the objects together... Telling the children to be very careful and not to blow the tower.... Finally, we won the game!!! (: Weee! And we were given a small goodies hamper which we shared the fruit of our labour during snack time!

After that we had the experience of eating lunch using Banana leaf and our hands as part of the save water campaign! It was indeed a fun experience!

Besides learning about saving the earth, children had enjoyed themselves tremendously! Thank you parents for putting in effort to create those pretty accesories with your child!

I have some parents asking if our swimming instructor, Uncle Choo, do conduct swimming lessons during weekends as they are interested in sending their child for extra swimming classes. I have checked with him and he do conduct swimming classes in the west area on Saturday Afternoons. Please contact him directly for more details.
